Local-first, always
If a feature can live on your machine, it does. We add cloud dependencies only when they're load-bearing — and we tell you which ones.
In 2026, AI work is no longer one chat box. It is cloud models, local models, image generation, file search, coding agents, research runs, API keys, approvals, and the daily context we keep losing between tools.
We built ORA because power users needed one place to think and act: Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Llama, Qwen, local GGUF models, image routes, ORA Code, Deep Research, Game Studio, browser AI, and support agents under one roof.
ORA is one private desktop workspace where every AI route lives on your terms. It uses your own provider keys, runs local models on your machine, indexes only the folders you approve, and pauses risky actions until you say yes.
Design principles
Decisions we've made and stuck with — not slogans.
If a feature can live on your machine, it does. We add cloud dependencies only when they're load-bearing — and we tell you which ones.
Bring your own keys. We never proxy your traffic, never see your prompts, never take a margin on your AI bill.
No notification badges that mean nothing. No popups that aren't actionable. If ORA interrupts you, there's a reason.
Agents can do a lot. They shouldn't be able to do it silently. Risky actions pause for your call — every time, until you say otherwise.
We ship features when they're finished, not when they're announced. No vapourware, no public roadmaps that quietly slip.
Every screen is hand-shaped — typography, motion, copy. We care about how ORA feels in your morning as much as what it does at noon.
ORA is built in India and registered as a Sole Proprietorship. We file GST. We invoice in INR for Indian businesses. We test with UPI before we test with Stripe.
Global users get first-class support — regional language presets are on the roadmap, Razorpay billing launches with the Pro tier, and our support hours overlap with IST first for India-based teams.
We mention this because we think it matters. Tools built where you live tend to fit better.
We're not trying to be everything for everyone.ORA — founder note
We're trying to be exactly right for one person — you.

Legal
Full versions are linked below. The summary on this page is what they mean in practice.
You own your data. Prompts, files, agents, settings — they live on your machine and they're yours. We don't claim a licence to them, and we couldn't read them if we wanted to.
We own the app. The ORA software is licensed to you, not sold. You can install it on as many of your own devices as you like. Don't redistribute or reverse-engineer the binary.
No warranty during beta. We do our best, but ORA is beta software. Back up anything you care about. We're not liable for lost work, lost time, or your AI bill if you wire it to a loop.
Indian jurisdiction. Any dispute is governed by Indian law. We'll always try to resolve things by writing first.
